Official Rules

Please read these rules before entering the Cornerstone Credit Union League Young Professional Conference Official Contest (the “Contest”) by the Cornerstone Credit Union League (referred to herein as “Cornerstone”, “We” or “Our”) and sponsored by the Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation. You (the participant in the Contest “You” “Your” or “Entrant”) agree that, by submitting an entry, You will be bound by these Official Rules and You acknowledge that You satisfy all contest eligibility requirements. In order to enter the Contest, you must agree to the Rules. Therefore, please read these Rules prior to entry to ensure you understand and agree. You agree that submission of an entry in the Contest constitutes agreement to these Rules. You may not submit an entry to the Contest and are not eligible to receive the prizes described in these Rules unless you agree to these Rules. These Rules form a binding legal agreement between you and Cornerstone with respect to the Contest.

Eligibility. To be eligible to enter the Contest, You must: (a) be a qualified credit union Young Professional working for Cornerstone affiliated credit union at the time of entry. A qualified credit union Young Professional is an employee of a Cornerstone affiliated credit union aged forty (40) years or younger. Officers, employees, interns, contractors, official office-holders and agents of Cornerstone and its affiliates, the Contest’s other participating sponsors (if any) and their advertising agencies (if any), and members of the immediate family of any such persons are not eligible to participate and win. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren, whether as “in-laws,” or by current or past marriage(s), remarriage(s), adoption, co-habitation or other family extension, and any other persons residing at the same household whether or not related.

How to Enter. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.  You may enter the Contest in the following ways:

  • Record a video of yourself explaining why you should attend YPC 2018, be thirty (30) seconds to one (1) minute in length, and share the video on your Facebook page tagging @creditunionyps and using the hashtag #CSCULMTG. To be eligible to win the video with all of its requirements must be shared between 6:00 a.m. Thursday June 27, 2018 and 11:59 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018.
     

LIMIT ONE (1) ENTRY PER ENTRANT. Subsequent entries will be disqualified. To be considered for the Contest, entries must: (i) contain a video of yourself less than one minute in length; (ii) the video must be shared on Facebook with the hashtag #CSCULMTG; (iii) Videos shared on Facebook must be set to ‘Public’; and (iv) received by July 13, 2018 11:59pm Central Time (CT). Any submission not meeting the aforementioned criteria will be disqualified. Cornerstone accepts no responsibility for submissions lost, delayed, damaged, defaced, or mislaid, howsoever caused. If you enter the drawing using your mobile device, standard data charges may apply from your carrier.

Video requirements.  The video and any statements must meet the following criteria (“Video Requirements”)

  1. It must not be derogatory, offensive, threatening, defamatory, disparaging, libellous or contain any content that is inappropriate, indecent, sexual, profane, tortuous, slanderous, discriminatory in any way, or that promotes hatred or harm against any group or person, or otherwise does not comply with the theme and spirit of the Contest.
  2. It must not contain content, material or any element that is unlawful, or otherwise in violation of or contrary to all applicable federal, state, or local laws.
  3. It must not contain any content, material or element that displays any third party advertising, slogan, logo, trademark or otherwise indicates a sponsorship or endorsement by a third party, commercial entity or that is not within the spirit of the Contest, as determined by Cornerstone in its sole discretion.
  4. It must be original, unpublished works that does not contain, incorporate or otherwise use any content, material or element that is owned by a third party or entity.
  5. It cannot contain any content, element, or material that violates a third party's publicity, privacy or intellectual property rights.
  6. The video is not the subject of any actual or threatened litigation or claim.
  7. You do not include any disparaging remarks relating to the Cornerstone or a third party.

During the Contest Period, Cornerstone, and/or its agents will be evaluating the Videos to ensure that they meet the Video Requirements. Cornerstone reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Entrant who submits a Video that does not meet the Video Requirements. Videos not complying with these Rules are subject to disqualification.

Prize. Cornerstone will award one prize. The prize will consist of a registration to the 2018 Cornerstone Credit Union League Young Professional Conference, (value of $550). If You are selected as a potential winner, Cornerstone will use the information in your social media post to fulfill the prize. Winners must complete a commitment letter signed by their CEO or Manager. Winners must claim the prize by July 19, 2018. If winner cannot take delivery of the prize as stated in these Official Rules or as otherwise required by law, the prize will be forfeited in its entirety and another winner will be chosen. Winner is responsible for all fees and taxes associated with acceptance of the prize. Winner is responsible for complying with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations applicable to the prize.

The winner will be responsible for paying all costs and expenses related to the prize that are not specifically mentioned, including any expense that might reasonably be incurred by the winner in receiving or using the Prize. This will include flight or mileage to/from the conference and meals during the conference that are not already included.

Prize Drawing. The potential winner(s) will be selected by the current Cornerstone Credit Union League Young Professional Advisors (“Advisors”) on Monday, July 16, 2018.

Cornerstone will attempt to notify the potential winner by social media within 3 business days following the drawing, and he/she will be required to sign and return a Commitment Letter. The potential winner also must sign and return any additional documentation necessary for prize fulfillment as requested by Cornerstone in its sole discretion. The Prize will be awarded “AS IS” and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose).

Judging. Regardless of any online judging done by the general public, ALL final decisions are in the Advisors’ sole discretion.

Odds of Winning. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

Additional Terms. Cornerstone may, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and in its sole discretion, change these rules or cancel the Contest at any time; or modify, terminate, or suspend the Contest for any reason or other causes beyond our control corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Contest or submission of entries. Cornerstone is not responsible for: (a) lost, misdirected, late, incomplete, or unintelligible entries or for inaccurate entry information; (b) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest; (c) any error in the operation or transmission, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to, or failure to receive any entry information on account of technical problems or traffic congestion. Cornerstone may, in its sole discretion, disqualify any individual found to be: (i) tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest; (ii) acting in violation of these rules; or (iii) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. If Your entry is incomplete your entry will be void. No greater than the number of prizes stated in these Official Rules will be awarded. If any technical errors occur in the selection of potential prize winner or if more prizes are claimed than the number of prizes being awarded as provided in these Official Rules, Cornerstone may award the prize from among all eligible claimants.

The Videos may also be used for press and media purposes and Entrant agrees to waive any rights and not assert any intellectual property rights that Entrant has or may have in the Video. Cornerstone reserves the right to publish the name and likeness of the Winners on Cornerstone’s Website or through other media for publicity purposes.

Miscellaneous. The Contest is governed by the laws of the State of Texas. The Contest and all accompanying materials are copyrighted by Cornerstone and its affiliates with all rights reserved. If You win a prize, Cornerstone will not transfer or assign the Prize to anyone but You, nor will Cornerstone redeem the Prize for cash. Cornerstone may substitute a prize with a prize of equal or greater value. The winner agrees (for himself or herself and his or her heirs) that, by accepting the prize, Cornerstone will have no liability, and will be held harmless by the winner for any liability, loss, injury or damage to property or person, including death, and reasonable attorney’s fees and court costs, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize or participation in the Contest, even if caused or contributed to by the negligence of any of the Released Parties. You agree that our decisions related to the Contest and all drawings are final.

Privacy Notice: All information submitted in connection with this Contest will be treated in accordance with these Official Rules.
